Pricing and Scheduling

The best way to contact me is by telephone at (203) 888-7848. Normal office/telephone hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. When I'm at a job, your phone call is forwarded to my cell phone. You'll rarely get an answering machine here! It would be my pleasure to talk with you and answer any questions, or to supply my recommendations for your specific situation.

If you prefer, you may also e-mail, but it may take a little longer for me to respond by e-mail.

Come to Integrity Piano Service and enjoy one of the most careful and thorough piano tuning maintenance services available in this area.

The Standard Tuning Maintenance Service is $115 (plus sales tax). In addition to the expert fine-tuning to A-440 standard pitch, this comprehensive service includes...

  • Complete inspection of the piano to check for hidden problems or potential issues that may need attention
  • Checking and adjusting the pedals for correct operation
  • Tightening pin-block, plate and frame bolts for pitch stability
  • Tightening bench bolts
  • Checking for sticking keys and other minor action (mechanical) issues
  • Some minor repairs as time permits
  • Minor pitch raising or lowering, if needed
  • Detailed service-history record-keeping both with the piano and in my office
  • A demonstration of the tuned piano — sometimes it will be classical, other times ragtime, maybe a little pop/jazz, or even a hymn — but you'll always get to hear your piano played when I'm done working on it.

If the piano has been out of tune for several years or longer, it will probably need a pitch-raise. This is an extra rough-tuning done in one or two steps that brings the pitch and string tension back to where it ought to be — a necessary preparation for the fine-tuning. Minor pitch-raising, when needed to correct for normal seasonal fluctuations, is included in almost every Standard Tuning Maintenance Service.

Depending on your situation, you may be eligible for one of the following Standard discounts:

  • Repeat tuning within six months of my previous tuning visit
  • Tuning 2 or more pianos at one home or church in the same day
  • School piano service contracts
  • Pre-paid tuning packages (for schools, churches, and other organizations)
  • Piano teachers who are members of the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association and/or MTNA.
  • Piano teachers who are not members of CSMTA or MTNA if certain other facts apply (call for details)
